In 2006 Confectionery factory named after Krupskaya was acquired by the Norwegian Concern Orkla which has history of more than 350 years.
The Orkla Group is one of the largest companies listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange and is a leading supplier of branded consumer goods to Nordic food retailers.
Orkla also enjoys strong positions in Central and Eastern Europe and in Russia. A year before Orkla acquired Russian confectionery enterprise SladKo which factories are located in Ekaterinburg and Uliyanovsk.
Acquisition of such successful companies as Confectionery factory named after N.K.Krupskaya and Confectionery Group SladKo corresponds to long-term strategic plans of Orkla`s expansion in Russia.
