Confectionery factory named after N. K. Krupskaya entered «Record Book of Russia». As experts admitted chocolate griffin by weight of 974,5 kilograms created by the factory became the biggest chocolate sculpture in our country.
Expert committee of «Record Book of Russia» confirmed to Krupskaya factory the status of record breaker in nomination «The biggest (the heaviest) chocolate sculpture».
The unique sculpture came into the world on the 1st of June 2008 at city family holiday «Day of Sweet Tooth» in Alexandrovskiy park. Before numerous viewers` eyes experienced masters-carvers created a unique statue of Chocolate Griffin. Its height was 193 cm., the width — 84 cm., the length — 155 cm, the weight was 974,5 kg. Griffin is one of the most memorable symbols of Saint-Petersburg and at the same time it is the logo of Confectionery factory named after N. K. Krupskaya. The Factory prepared this truly royal present for celebration of its 70-year anniversary and for 305-year anniversary of Saint-Petersburg.
Before that moment there were no chocolate sculptures in Russia with weight of more than 700 kg. This fact was confirmed by expertise made by «Record Book of Russia».
Prior to official confirmation is received every record is thoroughly checked. That is why before the important event serious work was done. For establishing the record the ready statue was weighed in witnesses` presence and was measured with two different tape measures. The whole process was photographed and filmed. Three independent experts were invited and they signed the protocols according to actual fact of the event. Also the necessary in such cases documents were gathered: the official application, originals of publications in Mass Media, TV commercial, references to Internet publications.
All necessary conditions were kept and editorial board of «Record Book of Russia» by definition of Expertise Department unanimously made the decision about declaring of Krupskaya factory request to be the official record of Russia. Now Krupskaya factory can pretend to official registration of Diplomas and personal awarding signs «Golden Star of Record Breaker of Russia». For all people who somehow or other are privy to achievement establishment the awarding Certificates of «Record Book of Russia» are provided.
